La Merced is a sprawling outdoor marketplace that feeds the electric culinary scene of Mexico City. Tamales La Merced was established to bring that culture to Sonoma County and give our customers the experience of homemade tamales made by hand from natural and authentic ingredients.

We make every aspect of our fresh tamales by hand and with all real ingredients that include ground natural corn masa, slow cooked vegetables, chiles and herbs for the salsas and hand shredded meats and sauces for the fillings. We start fresh every day and start over the next so that you can see and taste the difference that elevates our tamales.

During the holiday season, our small team is busy making and selling tamales. We likely cannot respond to emails or answer the phone in a timely manner. Please come visit us in person to purchase tamales on the day you want them, as we do not accept pre-orders during holidays. Thank you for your understanding.
